BOC Approves Purchase of Automated External Defibrillators for Fulton County Police

When individuals suffer a cardiac emergency, time is of the essence and survival hinges on immediate treatment.  Often times, when 9-1-1 is called during such an emergency, police arrive at the scene before EMTs.

This is why I proposed legislation to equip every Fulton County Police Department vehicle with an AED.  They will be purchased using funds from our Opioid Settlement Fund.
