The District 6 Back-to-School Carnival is billed as a two-fold event. The carnival will follow the Senior Legacy Walk and Breakfast, scheduled from 8 to 11 a.m. at Creel Park. The morning event will recognize seniors for their service and contributions to the South Fulton community before the afternoon celebration turns its focus toward preparing young people for the new school year.
“For the past four years, our Back-to-School Carnival at Creel Park has been about more than backpacks and school supplies. It has been about bringing our community together,” said Williams-Brown. “This year is especially meaningful because it begins with our Senior Legacy Walk, where we honor the residents whose wisdom, service and sacrifices have helped shape our community. By celebrating our seniors in the morning and investing in our children in the afternoon, we are connecting generations and reminding everyone that strong communities are built when we value both our history and our future in District 6.”
“Education is the foundation on which strong families, thriving neighborhoods and successful communities are built. Every child deserves to begin the school year prepared, confident and inspired to succeed,” said Sebastian. “It is my honor to welcome students and families from District 4 and across the City as we come together to celebrate the start of another exciting school year and invest in the future of our children.”
