Today, H. J. Russell & Company (Russell) announced the promotion of Bryant Sharpe from Senior Preconstruction Manager to Director of Preconstruction for the construction division. In his new role, Sharpe manages a team of preconstruction managers and estimators and is responsible for project planning, the preconstruction processes, estimating, value engineering, constructability reviews and developing client proposal packages.
“I am excited to see Bryant move into this position as a longtime Russell employee,” said Michael Swick, vice president of construction, Russell. “Bryant has demonstrated a strong understanding of estimating, logistics and scheduling. He has also implemented innovative software platforms that allow Russell to provide exceptional preconstruction services for our clients.”
In addition to working with his own team, he works closely with project executives and general superintendents to provide support in buyout, project logistics, and cost forecasting.

I believe our attention to detail with preconstruction activities is what leads to our overall success.”
Sharpe has more than 17 years of preconstruction experience where he has evaluated constructability, established project budgets, create and solicited invitations to bid, received and evaluated contractor bids, provided value engineering options, and performed quantity take-offs. He has provided these services on many verticals, including K-12, higher education, government buildings, assembly halls, amphitheaters, stadiums, affordable and student housing.
Originally from Kannapolis, NC, Sharpe graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering. He currently resides in Covington, GA.
