Atlanta Business Expo Draws Record Crowd at Georgia World Congress Center

The Annual Atlanta Black Expo is a significant platform for highlighting and supporting Black-owned businesses and events curated by Black entrepreneurs. Over the Feb. 22 to 23 weekend more than consumers visited the Georgia World Congress Center, the fourth largest of its type in the nation to sample culinary creations, purchase products, and secure services from locally based Black-owned businesses serving the metropolitan Atlanta community.

On Saturday, Feb. 22, Mayor Andre Dickens welcomed vendors and business experts to a special VIP reception in the exhibition event space at the GWCC, before the following day’s opening to the public, which included an exhibitor showcase, food tastings, informative workshops and valuable networking experiences for all attendees.

The Atlanta Black Expo is recognized as a dynamic celebration of culture, featuring a vibrant array of exhibits, activations, and interactive experiences. Immerse yourself in all of the art, music, food, fashion, and workshops. Explore the rich diversity and history of the community, while doing business with local Black businesses.

This powerful and impactful event is brought to fruition in part by ABE organizer Corey “NetworKing” Moore, who helped relaunch the business expo in 2023. “The Atlanta Black Expo is a unique platform for supporting and celebrating local Black-owned businesses,” said Moore. “We recognized a need for a centralized space where consumers could discover and engage with a diverse range of Black-owned businesses in Metro Atlanta. Our goal was to create an immersive experience that showcases these businesses and celebrates the richness of Black culture.”

The Atlanta Black Expo is the largest showcase of mixed, non-industry-specific black-owned businesses in the southeast United States. The annual gathering provides a platform to showcase the achievements, culture, and businesses in the Black community. With a mission to empower and connect individuals and businesses, the Atlanta Black Expo features a range of activities, including panels, workshops, and networking events. The expo serves as a catalyst for positive change, fostering diversity and inclusion while creating opportunities for growth and success within the Black community.
