I spend a lot of time in conversation with our sales manager Duane Torrence. We banter about everything from politics to style. Whenever I want a male perspective, between the hours of 9 to 5, Monday through Friday, he’s my go-to. So, it’s an exciting time around the majority-female offices of Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine. We’ve never done an entire issue solely dedicated to our male audience; so we’ve scored major points with our colleagues of the opposite gender. And even though this issue — themed The Gentlemen’s Suite — isn’t for us, we certainly have enjoyed its coming together and want to make sure the men in our lives have a copy.
The occasion: our annual issue of notable men. This year’s Man of the Year, Will Packer — the producer behind the box office smash “Ride Along” -— can be traced back to the films “Stomp The Yard,” “Takers” and “Obsessed.” But, it’s what’s coming down the pike for him that has us taking notice.
