 TasteofAtlanta

The restaurant lineup for the 12th annual Taste of Atlanta festival is widespread, well-known and – most importantly – mouthwatering. More than 70 of Atlanta’s most coveted and tastiest eateries have already signed on to participate in this year’s festival, which will take place October 25-27 in Midtown at Tech Square. From city classics such asRay’s On The River and Max Lager’s to buzzworthy newcomers including Lure, King+ Duke and Saltyard, Taste of Atlanta will once again spotlight the incredible energy and diversity of the city’s restaurant scene.

There will be plenty of palate-pleasing to go around – whether festival-goers are hungry for classic Southern recipes from D.B.A. Barbecue, South of the border-inspired fare from Mi Cocina or fresh Japanese fusions of sushi and steak from Amura Sushi, there’s a delectable dish to satisfy every craving. In addition to the international flavors offered at this year’s event, attendees will also enjoy signature tastes from Atlanta’s neighborhood favorites, including Marietta’s Seed Kitchen & Bar, Virginia Highland’sOriginal El Taco, Edgewood’s Fox Bros. BBQ, Decatur’s Chai Pani and many more! With such a variety of restaurants featured in the expanse of six blocks, Taste of Atlanta allows guests to explore different culinary experiences and uncover all of the incredible dining treasures the city has to offer.

As if the festival couldn’t get more delicious, Taste of Atlanta will kick off the food-filled weekend on Friday, October 25 with a block party themed Atlanta’s Taste Revival: Local Chefs, Smokin’ Jams. Guests can join local celebrity Chefs Ron Eyester, Ford Fry, Kevin Gillespie, Kevin Rathbun, Robert Phalen and more for an evening of live Southern rock music from Parker Smith and the Bandwith, bountiful booze and the best bites in the city. Select restaurants, including GunshowOne Eared StagRosebud, Bocca Luppo and Rathbun’s, will be onsite to serve up their signature dishes.

“It’s important for Atlanta chefs to be able to rally around an event that showcases the culinary landscape of Atlanta,” said Ron Eyester, owner and executive chef of Rosebud, The Family Dog and his latest concept, Timone’s Pizza, all 2013 Taste of Atlanta participants. “It’s a great chance to be entrenched in the community.  It’s also great to see people really excited about food, when they realize the communal effect that food has on people, how it really has an amazing ability to bring us together and embrace something that we define as a city.”

Since its inception in 2001, Taste of Atlanta has showcased hundreds of the city’s finest restaurants, celebrated Atlanta’s top-notch chefs and transformed tasters into dedicated diners. Now in its 12th year, the legendary three-day food festival continues to establish Atlanta as the Food Capital of the South.
