Meet Nate Jester…Ivy League Educated, Marine Corp Officer and Candidate for Atlanta City Council

Nate Jester is a proud native of Southwest Atlanta, a graduate of Atlanta Public Schools, a Marine Corps veteran, and a Harvard-trained attorney committed to building stronger communities—for us, by us.

Raised in Ben Hill and educated in Atlanta Public Schools, Nate was nominated by Congressman John Lewis to represent Southwest Atlanta at the U.S. Naval Academy, where he graduated in the top 5  percent of his class. He later served as an infantry officer in the Marine Corps before earning his law degree from Harvard, where he completed over 1,000 hours of pro bono work and was recognized for his community
leadership.

Today, Jester is a real estate attorney and founder of Cascade Centennial, a development firm partnering with churches and nonprofits to build affordable homes and opportunity that reflects the needs and values of Southwest Atlanta.

Jester serves on the boards of the Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership and BLKHLTH, and recently chaired the Finance Subcommittee of the Atlanta BeltLine Tax Allocation District Advisory Committee.

He also helps lead scholarship initiatives through the Eta Omega Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the Mays High School Alumni Association, and the Emerging 100 of Atlanta, collectively awarding over $100,000 in scholarships this year.

Jester is running for Atlanta City Council to bring bold, new, and accountable leadership to District 11—focused on delivering safer streets, affordable housing, thriving small businesses, and clean, connected infrastructure for Southwest Atlanta.
