Fulton County Commission Chairman Robb Pitts urges voters to verify registration before April 20 deadline

Fulton County Commission Chairman Robb Pitts is urging voters to check their registration status and review their voter information on the Georgia Secretary of State’s “My Voter Page” before the April 20 voter registration deadline for the May 19 Primary Election.

The Chairman’s office has received reports from constituents who have experienced difficulties while using the Secretary of State’s online ‘My Voter Page’ portal.

“Some voters have discovered they are no longer registered, while others have found errors involving their address, ethnicity, or polling location,” said Chairman Pitts. “In some cases, voters have been unable to access their records because the system does not recognize special characters, such as apostrophes, that are part of their legal names.”

Voters can review their information by visiting the Georgia Secretary of State’s “My Voter Page” at https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/. If any information is incorrect, voters should promptly submit updates by selecting the “update voter information” option.

All updates must be completed before the April 20 deadline in order to vote in the May 19 Primary Election.

Fulton County voters who are experiencing issues are encouraged to contact the Department of Registration and Elections by email at Elections.VoterRegistration@fultoncountyga.gov or by phone at 404-612-3816.

Residents who need to register to vote may submit an application online through the Georgia Secretary of State at https://sos.ga.gov/ or visit the Fulton County Registration and Elections webpage at https://www.fultoncountyga.gov/Inside-Fulton-County/Fulton-County-Departments/Registration-and-Elections/Voter-Registration.

“The right to vote is sacred and must be protected,” Chairman Pitts said. “I strongly encourage every eligible voter to make sure their registration is accurate and up to date before early voting begins on April 27. Every resident deserves the opportunity to have their vote counted, and that starts with making sure their voter information is correct.”
